| Heartland Stables is a full service barn established at its present location in 1988. The barn offers training of American Saddlebred horses, as well as show lessons and riding programs for all levels of rider. An Academy program is available to those riders wanting to eventually own and exhibit a show horse.
Amanda Simpson, trainer at Heartland Stables, started her show career at an early age, campaigning horses such as Cora's Vanity, Sweetest Victory, Propery Tax, Winsdown's Sweet Oil, Gold Commission, The Gun Moll, Callaway's Ariel, Callaway's Queen of Crimson, and Callaway's Cumulus, to name a few. Talented in both equitation and performance, Amanda is as excellent in a stake class as she in training an amateur horse.
Vikki Vogel and Manuel Gallardo are owners of Heartland Stables. Vikki is a graduate of Drake University in Health, Physical Education and Recreation. As a former teacher it was a natural transition to an equestrian training/lesson program. Heartland stables has put equitation champions in the ring as well as performance riders in every division, from Western to Five Gaited.
